In MKP, being an Elder means more than surviving many trips around the sun. Eldership is the active principle of applying long-accumulated wisdom to advance the human experiment. As Elders, we accept responsibility for continuing our personal journeys at a life stage when most men begin to coast. And we realize our potential to mentor the next generation (or two) in the ways of mature masculinity.

Bethelwoods Camp is south of I-85 (at Gastonia, NC and Kings Mountain, SC and NC), and west of I-77 (at Rock Hill and Fort Mills, SC) and just 45 mins from Charlotte.    Here’s a sample of the agenda:
  • “Death and Dying” – Bruce Maxwell
  • “Five Wishes” “Green Burial”– Roger Beaumont
  • “Writing on Reflections of Life” – Wayne UpChurch
  • “Trapped Emotions” – Steve Westin
  • Presentation by Bruce Noll
  • Ritual Elder recertification
  • Declared Elder ceremony
  • Hotseat for Elder Lead
  • Selection of Pointmen for 2018 Elder Gatherings
  • Update from Young Warriors on Elder/Young Warrior connection
  • Ample time for recreation and connection.
